Craig presents the first Des McAnuff New Visions Award to Delicia Turner Sonnenberg, who was honored for her risk-taking leadership at Moxie Theatre and for her body of work in 2006, which included directing five plays at four different theaters.

Surprised by the honor, Turner Sonnenberg describes how honored she is to have an award named for McAnuff, because his production of "The Wiz" mesmerized her children like no theater production they've ever seen before.

Welsh moves on to the evening's finale, a tribute to Des McAnuff.

Des McAnuff listens as Welsh describes his achievements, which include reviving the dormant La Jolla Playhouse and bringing it to national prominence over a 25-year period.
